Video Buffering or Loading Slowly
SxyHub streams videos via BunnyCDN's global network using HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), which automatically adapts quality to your connection speed.
- Check your internet speed — you need at least 5 Mbps for 720p, 10 Mbps for 1080p.
- Switch to a lower quality setting by tapping the settings icon on the player (if available).
- Move closer to your WiFi router or switch from WiFi to mobile data (or vice versa) to test.
- Close other bandwidth-heavy applications (streaming, downloads).
- Clear your browser cache: Chrome → Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files.
Black Screen with Audio
You hear audio but see a black video frame:
- Browser GPU issue: Try disabling hardware acceleration. Chrome: Settings → System → Use hardware acceleration when available → toggle off → relaunch.
- Video still processing: Check if the video status is "Live" (a video thumbnail only appears after processing completes).
- Outdated GPU drivers: Update your graphics drivers (Windows: Device Manager; macOS: Software Update).
- Try a different browser to isolate the cause.
No Audio / Silent Video
- The video player may be muted by default — tap the speaker/mute icon on the player.
- On iOS, the physical Ring/Silent switch affects video audio in browsers. Flip it to Ring mode.
- On Android, ensure media volume (not ringtone volume) is turned up.
- The original video may have been uploaded without audio. Check if other videos on the platform have sound — if they do, this video may simply have no audio track.
HLS / Streaming Error Message
If you see an error like "Cannot load M3U8" or "Media Decoding Error":
- Hard refresh the page: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).
- Disable any ad blocker or privacy extension — some block CDN requests needed for HLS.
- Check if you're using a VPN or proxy that may block access to BunnyCDN's servers. Disable and retry.
- Try in Incognito/Private mode to bypass extension interference.
- Safari on older macOS may not support certain HLS variants — update to the latest macOS or use Chrome.
Mobile-Specific Playback Problems
- iOS Safari autoplay: iOS requires a tap to initiate video playback. Tap the video to start it.
- Android Chrome background tab: Videos may pause when switching tabs. This is an OS-level behavior — open SxyHub in a dedicated Chrome Custom Tab.
- PWA fullscreen issues: If videos don't go full-screen in the installed PWA, try opening in the browser directly.
- Data saver mode: Disable Chrome's "Lite Mode" / Data Saver — it compresses and breaks HLS streams.
Reporting Persistent Playback Issues
If video playback is consistently broken across multiple videos, it may be a platform-wide issue. Contact SxyHub Support with:
- URL of an affected video
- The exact error message (screenshot if possible)
- Your browser, OS, and device type
- Internet connection type (WiFi / mobile data)
